Photo taken Nov 2nd, 2002 Here is one of several photos where they have decided to sleep in the same bed, even though there is an empty one right next to it. Now that Bubble is bigger than Squeak there is no way the both can cram into one bed.
Photo taken Mar 6th, 2003 This is one of the last times they squeezed into the same bed before I broke down and purchased the 2nd (and third and fourth) bed. It was quite cute to see, but I did feel sorry for them. So I gave in and spent the $30 per bed. Having a cat or two for a pet is not cheap. In the year and a few months that they have been with me, I have probably spent $2500 on them. It was a good thing (I think) that I did not have to buy them in the first place, as they were both given to me. The vet bill is probably the biggest expense. A lot of it are one-time charges, but they do add up. Also $40 bags of dry food and 70 cent cans of cat food do not last long.
Photo taken Nov 18th, 2002 The previous photo showed the two kittens crammed into one bed. Feeling sorry for them, I went out and got a 2nd bed and the minute that I put it on the chair, Squeak (in picture above), jumped into it and settled down for a nap. I had intended for these beds to go into the bedroom so I could have my bed back. But once again my wallet came out and I purchased 2 more (identical) beds to go in the bed room. So now there are 4 beds to chose from.
Photo taken Nov 18th, 2002 The boom is about to be lowered on Bubble, who has just encouraged the action by attacking a not-so-innocent paw. I did warn Squeak that the tables would be changed when Bubble grew up. Squeak did not listen and now receives more than she gives. Turnabout is fair play as they say. I do not know if she would agree, however. Copyright: |
