Photo taken July 16th, 2003 Now that Squeak has been evicted from my leather recliner, she has decided that the top of the leather sofa will do. Actually this is a better spot, as she likes to sit on the back of the sofa, open the drapes, and look out. There is a large tree directly in front of the window and a sizable flock of Sparrows live there. They are constantly chattering and I am sure that Squeak would love to disrupt their day. But that will not happen.
Photo taken Aug 22nd, 2002 It could be very difficult to get anything done on the keyboard. Squeak liked to push the buttons, and always at the wrong time. She has lost interest in the keyboard since Bubble arrived, so working at the keyboard now means less work for the spell checker. But I still give it a pretty good work out myself.
Photo taken Sept 15th, 2002 This was taken moments later. She really was not happy at being found. A cat treat changed her mind and reinforced the habit of coming when I call her, or when the treat bag is shaken. Of course, she has to watch out that she does not get trampled. One shake of the bag and Bubble comes racing. He is not about to miss out on something to eat.
Photo taken Sept 15th, 2002 Normally, Squeak comes when she is called. But this one day she did not, so I went looking for her. This is where I found her; she was not really happy about being found. When I was away at a bridge tournament and David was looking after "the babies", the first time that he came over to feed them Squeak was no where to be found. He eventually found her after a panicked long distance phone call to me, and I made the suggestion that he look for her there. Squeak does not like company and when company comes calling Squeak disappears. If it is someone she knows, she might put in an appearance, but not very often. Copyright: James K. Foster, May 2004
