Well, Squeak got her way.  She boycotted the bed for several days until I gave in and put the 'twin' beds back.  As you can see, she was quite happy with her victory and promptly took up residence in her chosen place.  Now what to do with the big bed?

The solution of where to put the big bed was fairly easy to solve.  As Bubble (affectionately known as Bub) liked to nap in a small box on top of the freezer in the office, I simply exchanged the cardboard box for the bed.  Suited Bub just fine.

Please excuse the mess.  It was laundry day, and I was in the middle of changing the bed and folding laundry.  I had moved the cat beds off my bed so I could change it.  I put one of the cat beds on the rocker and filled it with the pillows from the bed.  There was not room to safely stack the second bed on the rocker without the pile tipping, so I put it on top of the cat condo. Squeak decided that it was time to nap, the place to nap was the bedroom where I was, and the only bed not in use was the one on the condo.  A hop onto my bed, then a hop to the cat bed on the condo, a quick wash, and she settled in for a nap in a high place.
