When I moved the small combination VCR and TV into the office, so I could watch TV while the computer was busy doing it's thing, the kittens quick found it the perfect butt rest while they observe the world as seen from the office window.  At night, when the Venetian blind was down, they poked their heads and bodies though so much that some of the slats were on the verge of breaking.  So I simply cut out a hole in the corner, about 7 inches square, to save the rest of the blind.  Often, when I come home late in the evening, I can find one or the other watching (for me I would hope).  This viewing hole led to a bit of a squabble yesterday.  Squeak was perched on the TV looking out and Bubble was laying on the TV top.  I guess that he got tired of waiting for his turn and right in front of me, gave Squeak a bite on the butt.  She instantly retaliated, swatting him on the nose and giving an ear a nip.  He left right smartly and she resumed her position at the window.  Bubble weights 14 pounds, which is 50% more than Squeak's weight of 9 pounds.  I am sure that he is much stronger and he definitely is my larger, but it is Squeak who is the boss!

Here Bub is pulling Night Sentry duty.  When I am in the office they are almost always around, keeping an eye on everything, including the neighbours or is it the neighbour's cat?

Squeak's sentry duty shift is over for now, but her replacement is in the doorway.  Easy enough to make a new exit.  Rather hard on the blinds, but as they are broken there is not much more they can do.  No point in replacing the blinds at this time as they will just 'customize' new ones.

While in Wal-Mart picking up several dozen cans of their house brand canned cat food (good product, carries the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association Certification as to meeting their Quality Standards.), I noticed this green plaid bed.  As my winter 'bedroom ensemble' is green plaid, I though this bed would go well with the ensemble.  Bubble thought so too, and now regularly takes his afternoon nap in it.  However Squeak wants no part of it, and has taken to napping elsewhere.  Maybe with a little time, she will move in with Bubble.
