No matter where you are in the house there are always a minimum of 2 eyes on you.  Should I happen to open the pencil drawer on my desk, 2 furry little bodies instantly appear, for that is where I keep the cat treats.  They know the sound of that particular drawer.  Opening one of the other 2 drawers does not have the same result.  The photos were taken 2 months apart.  Squeak is often to be found on top of the bookcase, if I am in the office.  If she is not on top of the bookcase, then she is probably in her bed in the office doorway corner.  A photo of the traffic jam:

Squeak decided that she was missing some of the action in the evenings, but after her rough and tumble play sessions she is in need of a nap.  The spot that she settled on was in the corner of the doorway, out of the way, and poised for fun or flight.  I had difficulty with my heart just letting her curl up on the floor, so I moved the now unused bed from the office chair to her new favored place.  She immediately settled in.  So far so good, but trust Bubble to put a paw in and create havoc.  He has decided that he wants to nap in the doorway also.  I can not say that he is inconsiderate, but he simply flops down in the middle of the doorway where he will not move.  He trusts that I will step over him and not on him!  However, he does have a long tail and I have accidentally stepped on it more than once.  He does let out a squawk, but move, no way!

What a night!  As best as I can piece the events together, a play session got rough, then got out of hand, ending up with a large volume of hisses and growls and perhaps a downright fight.  The window screen was pushed completely out of the window.  Bubble ended up outside and out of sight.  Squeak was inside under the bed.  I carefully and quickly searched the bedroom (he had not left the bedroom through the door, or I would have seen him, so he had to be outside.  He did not come when I called, so I went out looking for him.  I could not find him but kept calling and checking both the back door, garage, and front door.  After about 10 minutes, he showed up at the back door and I let him in.  However, I now had 2 pissed off cats, and an open window.  I left them hissing and spitting at each other and went and got the tools I would need to securely re-install the window screen.  I drilled 4 holes and used long screws to hold the aluminum screens into the aluminum frame.  At one point Bubble did come to the window to see what was happening, but other than that, the hissing and growling match continued.  They kept it up for more than an hour, slowing letting up in the intensity.  By the time I went to bed (2 AM), 2 hours and a bit since the start, they seemed to have made up.  Squeak keep pretty close to me and when I went to bed she went also, settling down in her bed, on the main bed.  Moments later, before I had turned the light off, Bubble arrived and went directly to his bed.  Both acted as if nothing had happened.  The photo above was taken the afternoon after the eventful evening  and all seems calm.  I hope it continues that way.
